You send your photo
With good natural light and a good framing. I confirm the quote within 24h.

Pencil sketch
I work out the layout and proportions in pencil on the final paper. You approve this sketch — in pencil, so anything can still be corrected before moving to ink.

Ink and watercolor in layers
With the sketch approved, I ink the final line and apply professional watercolor in layers until the piece is finished.

It arrives at your door

What's the process for a watercolor portrait?
I first work out the pencil layout on the final paper; once the proportions are right, that's the sketch I send you for approval — in pencil, so it can still be corrected. With your approval, I ink the final line and the layered watercolor begins until the piece is finished. The usual turnaround is 2 to 3 weeks from sketch approval.
What photo do I need to send you?
A photo with good natural light, good framing and good resolution — the sharper it is, the better the portrait turns out. There's a full guide on choosing the perfect reference photo (in Spanish) with examples of what works and what doesn't.
Can I change things after the pencil sketch?
Minor adjustments at that stage are included — that's exactly the moment to flag them, since the sketch is approved in pencil so it can still be corrected. Once it's approved and moved to ink, it can't be changed without redoing the piece.
What if I'm not happy with the final result?
It's very rare, since you've already approved the pencil sketch before ink and color begin. If something still doesn't feel right, we talk and find a solution — my priority is that you end up with a piece you'll want to keep for life.
Can I commission it as a gift without having the final photo yet?
Yes — message me on WhatsApp with the idea and we'll figure out together the best way to organize it, even if the photo arrives later.
Do you ship internationally?
